Common plant in Europe, the marshmallow has been imported from Asia at the beginning of the Christian era, due to its plentiful medicinal virtues. This woolly leaves perennial plant can grow up to 1.5 m. Its roots were previously used to make the marshmallow dough, a candy appreciated by children.
