Background

> 1964 - Company creation, initially as a specialist in wood-preservation formulas for industry.

> 1973 - Plant extraction activity begins following a collaboration with the University of Bordeaux.

> 1990 - Development of expertise in pine bark and grape seed. Fine chemistry. Berkem becomes an expert in the extraction of purified activators from plants.

> 2008 - Berkem takes on new challenges and new markets - agribusiness, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals - while continuing its traditional specialties,  pine and grapes.

> 2010 - Berkem launches the Berkemyol line: these are vectorized polyphenols (procyanidolic oligomeres) for the cosmetics industry.

> 2012 - Berkem develops the cosmetics Polynektars range: plant origin ingredients rich in polyphenols.
