An anti-aging active for the cosmetics industry: Berkemyol®

Berkem has developed a line of active ingredients for cosmetics based on company know-how in the field of extraction. Our actives are the result of synergy between the quality of plants chosen and our expertise in plant extraction.

Berkemyols are actives with a high plant polyphenol content (>95%), in particular procyanidolic oligomers, or PCOs.

Polyphenolic derivatives are of great interest for the cosmetics industry, in particular because of an antioxidant power that provides protection from free radical damage. They lead to younger-looking skin by inhibiting the oxidation of intra- and extracellular components: collagen, essential fatty acids, proteins and skin and membrane lipids.

We recommend a concentration between 0.1% and 0.5% for formulation.
